I'm a Graphic Designer that focuses on branding, and bringing designs to life through the use of Motion Graphics. The challenge of utilising all that's at my disposal to chase a fresh direction, is the driving force behind my work. I'm dedicated and personable.
We were tasked with creating a booklet covering three different TED Talks all centered around a single premise, with the page dimensions, number of pages and binding method up to us. I decided to go with a very minimalist design, choosing to forgo imagery and using typography as the hero for my chosen topic, 'The Art of Being Human.'
We needed to undergo a brand refresh for NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art), which included creating a dynamic logo for it's 2 branches, accompanying stationery, a theatre production guide for the 2021 season and a series of posters based on our chosen plays in the theatre guide.
We were given the opportunity to research animation studios and choose any type of animation style to create a 30sec-ish motion graphic. I decided to challenge myself by creating a frame by frame animation (8fps), created in Photoshop and edited in After Effects, which was an intense and invaluable learning experience.
We were given a brief to research words that had previously held different meanings throughout time (Awfuls previous meaning was 'full of awe') and create a typographic design in a medium of our choosing to reference both meanings of our chosen word. I decided to express these meanings with the use of motion graphics to give me a dynamic result.
